After I installed the built-in windows xp firewall, I can't disable it by right-clicking on the internet connection icon and clicking on properties. Nothing happens when I click on properties. I also can't change my internet connection using networking tasks. So how do get to disable the firewall If I want to. Is there a registry change I can do?

start/settings/network connections
double click local area connections/properties tab
and you are there

Do you have Service Pack 2 installed

If so you can go to Start>>All Prpgrams>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Security center

go to windows firewall options at the booton and pick turn off fire wall

If this helped call in the future for more difficult problems
