hi:

There is a user that installed Windows Media player 10 and it doesn't work ! He had before Windows Media player v 9 and he installed version 10 and none work now.
This is what I have tried.

Uninstalled version 10 and installed it again. = didin't work
Did a rollback and re-started the PC and tried to install it again = same thing

any ideas ????

check event viewer to see why it won't start. do you get any errors? What exactly happens when you click the icon?

error: Windows media player is not installed properly and must be re-installed.

Do you want to install the player from the micrsoft web site ?

I tried to install Windows media player 10 and I got this error:

It was not possible to complete setup.
Windows media player was not installed. To update windows, run windows media player 10 again

I went to add or remove proghrams..I found a program called...Windows media Format Runtime...what is that ?
