Hey there. I have this issue with my motherboard at the moment.
My new pc is all set up and running...fairly well. The only real problems at the moment involve the motherboard. Most of tese can be sorted out by playing around with it a little but a few can't.
1) When I start up I get about 5 error messages, some I know how to resolve however 2 I don't. One of them says something like "Invalid Serial Number" and the other one says "1801 Microcode Update Error" and tells me that I need to contact HP (Hewlett Packard) in order to get a new Microcode Update. However, HP offer little assistence for anyone who buys their component parts. Basically you have to buy an actual HP or Compaq computer for them to give you help. Is there any way to sort out this problem?
2) I have no sound. The integrated sound card is meant to run on te AC97 codec but I downloaded the latest codec for this and it doesn't seem to have made a difference.
