need help finding laptop without os so I can install personal copy of linux. Any help appreciated.

You can install linux on any laptop, it doesn't matter if there is an OS already installed. You can even dual boot with linux and windows if you want.

I understand that I can dual boot, and have done this in the past. I was looking for a dedicated laptop to install SUSE linux which I currently have. However, I don't wish to purchase a new computer with Windows preinstalled then have to reformat and load Linux. This seems like a waist. Haven't had any luck finding anything on the web. Microsoft rules the roost. Any help. Much needed. Thx.

Buy any laptop then replace the HD, problem solved.

Or...just delete the windows partition when installing linux.

I think his goal here is to avoid paying for a Windows license with the price of the laptop, correct? Don't know that you can though.

well if thats the case jsut tell them you do not want any Microsoft products on that computer no OS labtop.
