Hello Everyone,

Thanks in advance for your help.. I've been researching for a few days and know that I want the Averatec 3270 EH1 with the 80 GB Hard Drive. After looking at all the local 'big name' outlets (Circuit City, Best Buy, Staples, CompUSA) it appears Sam's Club is the lowest, offering it at $899.00- no rebates needed.

My question is, I saw a couple posts on different boards about folks getting it for $799 and less.. Should I look elsewhere, or is this the time to jump?

Thanks so much!

Here are the specs:

Processor and Memory:

Mobile AMD Sempron™ 2800+ Processor
DDR333 (PC2700) System RAM
Expandable to 512 MB of DDR RAM
Cache size (L1 128KB & L2 256KB)
3-in-1 Media Card Reader
V-Link High Performance 533 MB/s North + South Bridge Bandwidth
One 200-pin SO-DIMM Socket

Hard Drive and Multimedia Drives:

ATA133 (UDMA Mode 5) EIDE Controller
9.5mm, 2.5” 60 or 80 GB 1 Hard Disk Drive (UDMA Mode 5)
Built-in Dual +/- DVD Bruner drive in an ultra compact form factor

Hrm looks like a beefed up version of my averatec, which I love btw.

Seems like a pretty good deal, but you can probolly get it for 800$ as well :)

Thanks, but where?

Do you mean refurbed, because that is really the only instance I've seen any prices close to this, and I've been on just about every site you could think of at this point!
