CD ROM drive stealthing

Im thinking about stealthing my CDROM drives, but need to decide on a way to open and close the drives. I know about making it so you can press a part of the front to open it, but is there a way to add an Icon to your taskbar to open/close your drives?

That does it, but it's meant as a joke to also launch a particular program. I didn't thoroughly look at it, but you may be able to edit to your own specifications. It does open the CD-ROM though but since I'm on a laptop it cant close it back.

TrayCD, on their website (http://www.rjlsoftware.com/software/utility/traycd/) is basically the same thing without the program launching, but you still need a seperate program open to open/close your CD ROM drives. Thanks for the link. Ill probably use it if I can't find a windows command to do it, or something like that.
