What do multipliers stand for? Does the number of multipliers stand for the number of functional pipelines running at the base clock?
 
The multiplier is how much of a step in mhz the processor goes up by when you overclock. if you have the multiplier at 11x and increase the fsb by 1mhz the processor will be 11 mhz more powerfull.
 
Trifid basically explained it. It's nothing more than a setting to multiply the FSB with to get your final clockspeed. Of course the only reason they make a BIOS option available to you like that is because if you're buying that board, then they assume you'll probably want to OC a little.
