The article basically states that a scan from a Meijer catalog releasing on August 30th was leaked showing a $299 Elite model. The Pro is likely to be discontinued as all the previous evidence has shown as well. This is an incredible deal for anyone who didn't get a Pro.

I would also expect a drop of the price on the Arcade model to $149 and the Elite to drop to $249 if Sony does release a Slim PS3 at $299 soon.

I payed $450 at sams club for my Xbox 360 premium console with an extra controller, a play and charge kit and no games. Pretty soon you will be able to get one with HDMI, a 6x bigger hard drive and probably a free game for $299. I can't believe it.
