im an xplane author but i dont usually deal with code.
the idea is that pilot and copilot flying online will be able to see each other in x-plane 3D cockpits using their webcams and simple greenscreen technology. its easy to isolate oneself from your background by placing a green sheet behind you but how to get video into xplane?

is it possible to have a window on your computer that isnt square as normal, but can form itself around an image, this way using xplane not full screen you could just place the webcam image over the copilots/pilots seat,
-or-
if i build my 3D cockpit with a flat transparent quad over the 3D seats is there a way that video can be projected on to it? anything from a 2D panel can be projected on it such as moving dials etc, including transparancy, transparency also shows up from the 2D panel projection, is there a way that a video can be projected.
the webcam image is obviously 2 dimensional however pilots rarely leave thier seats during flight so i dont see a problem with a 2 dimensional image in a 3D cockpit.
