Wireless Internet is not coming

I have a computer, and it has built in wireless, but somehow i am not able to open any web pages.

I can see, the connected wireless networks, but unable to open any web page.

I am not good at troubleshooting, so seeking help from you experts.

When i do ping yahoo.com at the command prompt, it says error.

Can you guys tell me what could be the problem

It literally says error or timed out?

Do ipconfig /all

Then ping 127.0.0.1
if it pass

Then ping your IP address that you got from doing ipconfig /all
if it pass

Then ping the default gateway that you got form doing ipconfig /all

Then ping DNS server

Then ping 209.73.186.238

Then ping www.yahoo.com

See which one you're stuck at that doesn't get a reply back.

Step1: I did ipconfig /all

Step2: Then ping 127.0.0.1
- It passed

Step3: Then ping your IP address that you got from doing ipconfig /all

-- I think this is my problem, My IP Address from the first step is 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask :0.0.0.0
Default Gateway :
DHCP Server :255.255.255.255

Step4:Then ping the default gateway that you got form doing ipconfig /all

--I didn't get any default gateway , the field was empty

Step 5:Then ping DNS server
- Please check name

Step 6: Then ping 209.73.186.238

--Destination Host unreachable


Please help me in getting my internet back

You would be correct, this host is obviously not connected to the network. Are you running any encryption on the router? Do you have other wireless hosts that successfully connected?

My other friends (roomates) have laptops connected to the Internet.

Only mine is not connecting after having recognized wireless network.

Any suggestions are appreciated
