winamp problems

after installation, when i run it, nothing happens. it just appears on the taskbar, and the process appears in the task manager. the only way to close it is to end the process. it does not appear under 'programs' in the task manager. i have tried 5.10, 5.20 and 5.08. none work.

what is wrong?

have tried downloading a new installation file? maybe that one is messed up

i have tried three different versions, one of which i know was working before.

That's odd, Winamp is a great player. I only use it for audio though. VLC for video.

Try wiping out the registries that Winamp left behind (unless it deletes it when you uninstall) and then try again.

Before i have a trouble with winamp too !(as you)
then i tried install in administrator acount,it works very good !
