win7: remote desktop won't full screen

i was using remote desktop the other day. I put the window into restore mode. Now, when I click the maximize or restore button in the title bar, the windows won't go into full screen mode. Instead, the taskbar on the local machine always shows. Any one know how I can enable full screen for remote desktop?

OK I was finally able to recreate your issue.

double click the top bar of the rdc window.

no dice.

when i double click the title bar, it changes between restore and maximize.

edit - delete the default.rdp in my docs works
