Will Windows 7 Be Free?

My dad just told me that when Windows Vista was first released he went to the Microsoft web site and got a free Windows Vista CD sent to our house. All he had to do was fill out some information and pay 10 dollars for shipping, and that's it.

Will Windows 7 be like this? Maybe only for Vista users?

No. The ONLY way that could have happened is if he had bought a PC about 2-3 months before Vista's release. Just like it is stated in several threads now.
