WD red slow or not detected after power outage

tried that and it found 16 files in 24 hours.
i just continue copying folder by folder in windows
 
the problem with taking it to a computer shop is that I have all my info stored on this drive. personal info passwords honeymoon pictures and other pictures of me and my wife that people shouldn't see...(private stuff)
 
ok so is there a program that will tell me the info I need so I can order a replacement controller board or do I need special hardware for that?

the drive would detect and have slow acces for about a week then eventually disappear...
then I let it sit for a week and its accessible again through windows.
this **** is really confusing because its not showing any signs at all
even the smart says drive is healthy
 
Getting a new board for the drive will only help if you have no bad sectors on it.
You can remove the drive from your pc to get the model and revision number off the drive. If you can get this drive to work at all... then get your data asap because it is toast.
After you run this drive does it get really hot? If that is your issue then a freezer trick may work to get your data from it, except I've found the best way to use the freezer trick is to leave it in the freezer while you recover your data
