vista and Norton

I have a new sony VGN SZ460N/C Laptop (with vista)that came with a norton sixty day free trial. I had actually tried to install mccafee but it ended up creating problems which led to me restore my PC.

I now have the norton 360 which i am trying to install but it keeps asking me to unistall the 60 day norton software which i have tried several times to uninstall but it keeps telling me-"the specified module cannot be found"
please i need assistance on how to uninstall the 60 day and install the new one i just downloaded from norton.

have you trie uninstalling it as an administrator? right click the uninstall icnon and run as administrator. or if you just wan't anti-virus/malware get norton internet security 2007 unless you have a legit copy of 360 i tried to install norton 360 on vista as well but it was a pain in the butt for me

I used to use Norton Antivirus. But like many, I prefer using a free antivirus program like AVG and Avast!, primarily because they are less demanding on system resources.
