I normally use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate for converting videos. Now I have a couple of videos in mkv format that I wanted to convert to mp4 to put into my phone. When I fired up the program, I was greeted by an error message of "loadlibrary failed with error 1114: a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed." I am also greeted by a "immdevice.exe has stopped working" dialogue box.
I tried a reinstallation but that did not work. And since the immdevice thing was a windows error box and did not look part of the Xilisoft software, I downloaded MediaCoder to see what would happen. MediaCoder runs into an error 015 when trying to convert. Their site says:

What exactly am I supposed to do here? I tried creating a new user to see if its a user settings error but its not. Looks like I cannot convert videos with whatever program?
