can one do vidcaps of streaming video from the net by using some kind of Software?

can i record/save/take some still shots of the above video using some kind of S/W?

well i wanted a free software so i downloaded M8Clips.

it does capture video but not live streaming video!

any ideas which software can do that?

Camtasia or SnagIT by TechSmith are pretty good screen capturing programs. However, they aren't free.

If you want to capture on-screen video, then this is probably the only easy way- but it's not really pratical. I used to use the program, and it's performance and quality can degrade harshly depending on the media being played, and the specs of the machine.

You could try searching in http://www.download.com for screen capturing and see if there are any free programs. Other than that, I don't think there are any free ones ...

You probably downloaded a trial version of it. So, yes it does stop working after a while. You could buy it so that you can keep using it
