Thinking about building a pc..

well i made a few changes...most of my choices were because of this package on newegg...

Now i have:

CPU and graphics card combo: core i5-750 + ati radeon 5770

500w power supply and cord

A cheap case + a fan because some of the reviews mentioned a lack of airflow and said it would be good to get another fan

Cheap keyboard

I decided to go for 2 smaller hard drives(i think i'll do raid 0)

same ram as before

a usb 3.0 motherboard

the recommended cpu cooler and retention bracket

edit!: ignore that^ just saw the incompatibility...so i switched to the old one:

CPU cooler

the total price is 972.71 CAD with shipping, not much cheaper...but now i have usb 3.0, a more reliable hard drive setup, and direct x 11 support...sound good??

if you create a raid 0 array, do you have a way to back up your data? with 2 500gb hdds in a raid 0 you could potentially lose 1tb of data if either hdd fails.

oops! i meant raid 1, i don't need more than 500gb's of space...and i probly don't even need that much...
