some internet pages wont load

hello,

i have no idea how this happened but i cannot view some webpages anymore. all it does is show "done" on the left side of the status bar. their is no downloading of data to load the page so their is a blank page.

im pretty sure its not the servers or anything because it happens to various sites, eg wiki and some forums. a lot of other sites i can view like normal. some websites work but some links within the website get the above problem.

i restored my internest settings to default but the problem was not fixed.

can someone tell me how to fix this?

1. Check your firewall and connection settings.

Turn off Windows Firewall, then:

Get into Internet Explorer, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN settings (bottom) -> Automatically Detect Settings.

2. If that fails, try another internet browser.
