Setting up a server

What is the simplest way that you guys, or girls, have found to set up a linux apache server that can be edited from a Windows box.


PS. I'm a know-nothing when it comes to Linux. The best I can do is muddle around a little and hope things work out. Detailed instructions are greatly appreciated.

Using PuTTy to remotely login to Unix using SSH. Then doing it just like Linux. Heh, sorry.
