Running games on a usb2.0 external HDD

I have never tried this, has anyone else?

would a game like ut2004 or splinter cell 2 run well on an external usb2.0 hdd or would it be the complete opposite?

It would run but probably take a hell of a long time to load.

yeah, that's true... but running old LucasArt games like SamnMax and Fate of Atlantis ought to be fine, right?

I was thinking about the same thing. I just bought an external hd that uses usb2.0. In the manual it says you should be able to run games fine. I'm gonna try find a web article on it. It'd be interesting to see the diff in speed.
