removing plug n play cards

I installed a video card on a computer (a Dell) but now I don't want it there, I would like to remove it. Before removing one of these PCI cards, is there anything I should do? Should I remove the drivers? Anything I should do, or just open the tower and pluck it out? Thanks.

I always remove the drivers but only if I am going to install a new card, is that what you are going to do?

You should definitely remove the drivers for the PCI video card and then run regedit and clean up your registry. I presume you have onboard AGP video on that Dell? The PCI video card would be a definite downgrade! (I also presume it is not PCIe?)
