registry won't open

I've been trying to take precautionary measures to ensure my pc stays in efficient working condition. After completing the guide to spyware and luckily had no infections, for some reason regedit still won't execute in the run line. Anyhow, I was posting my HJT log to see what unnecessary items I could get rid of, or what may be causing my registry problems. Any help would be great. Thanks

I would use AVG, also consider getting the new (free) AVG 8

I got it to work last night by typing regedit.exe, which is fine I just didn't understand why just regedit wouldn't work. I have trend micro for the anti-virus and got AVG anti-spyware last night, running these together isn't going to cause issues is it? Thanks for the help.

You know i have been looking further into this and apparantly you still have some sort of problem as your symptoms are the same.

Have you also run a virus scan with up-to-date definitions?.

Yeah I just updated them both last night before I did the scans, and tried the TweakUI and that didn't do anything.
