The phrase "It's not what you know, it's who you know" is very true, especially when hunting for an IT job.
I personally could have saved myself loads of time and money if I simply knew who to call when I first wanted to get into IT.
So my recommendation simply a sticky which could be a list of popular local and national consulting/contracting resources...
1) Name of company
2) URL / Phone #
3) Preferred qualifications (who will they work with, noobs or vets or both?)
4) Locale (which cities/states do they operate in or are they national/global?)
