questoin about guitar hero guitars

I just bought guitar hero 3 for my PC. It comes with a Xbox wired guitar (from G hero 2). I was looking at getting another guitar. Why are they harder to find than a PS3 guitar? Why are they such more money than a Xbox guitar? I need a xbox guitar because of the USB interface.
