possible to get virus on winows hdd from linux hdd?

hi guys. the deal is that i have windows xp installed on my sata hdd, and ubuntu linux installed on my ide hdd. my question is: if i visited a dangerous site/a virus for windows downloaded when using linux, could the virus affect the windows hdd??

for example, if i go on a site that google says is dangerous, but i am using linux, the linux will not be affected by a virus, but will the virus that was downloaded whilst using linux, still be able to affect the sata hdd which has widows xp on it?

i think i explained my question in a way that is understandable lol.
