I have a major problem with my laptop (HP Pavilion dv9000) that runs Vista home 32bit. Everytime I search on firefox, google chrome or IE7 I get a crash that is caused by a ntdll.dll error

I looked online and it looks like replacing it seems to be the best thing. I've done spyware / virii scans and nothing. also ive reinstalled older and newer versions. no dice.

Everytime I use a search function on any website it crashes.

so for now I have installed VMware to browse the web.

so my question is how can i replace my ntdll.dll file in the c:/windows/system32

i have admin access and have tried in both normal windows and safe mode (w/ and w/o command prompt)

so i need to be able to replace the ntdll.dll file before windows loads it up (even in safe mode)

I'm really getting at my wits end here because this is a very annoying error. Nothing else is problematic with this dll. Just searching the web only seems to cause the error.

this is what I get from the IE7 error log...

You wont be able to replace it using Windows. You will only be able to do it with a LiveCD like Ubuntu.
