Oculus is disabling keyboard & left mouse click

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question. My husband has an Oculus Quest 2 and his keyboard becomes disabled whenever he is running SteamVR. The left mouse button also seems to become disabled or has a "sticky key" becoming active? He's done most of the basics like reinstalling drivers, shutting down SteamVR & Quest, and closing all related tasks, but nothing seems to work other than restarting the PC.
