No sound

I have a audio problem with my computer

If i try to play a clip online it plays it but doesnt have any sound
I also tried firefox and many others, same problem
It doenst play even on quicktime or realplayer or divX

I was thinking of teh problem being the drivers. but i dont know where or what drivers to get.

Check the speakers and cables. Also check the mute button in Windows audio control.

My sound works, it just doesnt when i go online...... say if i were to listen to music thats on my Hard Drive it would play..... but if i tried playing it online... it would mostlikey not play (sometimes it does)

Games always work, so its never been TOO much of a problem

oo and how do u get that volume control panel icon on your taskbar????

goto control panel -> sounds/audio -> volume tab -> check the box that says "Place volume icon in taskbar"
