No internet but i have lan

I can see other computers on my network and the other computers can use the internet but mine will not.

It is running XP Pro and the IP address is automatically assigned by the DHCP.

Help...

The router it is connected to is a linksys BEFSR41 and i have tried everything.

do u have comcast internet and a dell router?!?!?!?
i do.
u need to wait for a software fix from dell because comcast started to change their ip adresses regularily (every 2 days) and the router can't support that.
i got the same symptoms that u have
call dell, comcast, and anybody else u can thinkof
i dont now if u have comcast just call ur router company and ask em i dont know if its the same as the dell prob.

the internet is complete saparate from your internal network. you need to check if the modem is connected to your ISP and working. check the modem for a WAN signal. plug a computer straight to the modem, but first enable your firewall on that computer. if you still get no internet call your ISP. if you do get internet when plugging straight through than your setup or config is wrong
