New to Folding

Hello guys, recently I started folding after having looked at it on and off for quite some time and I have a question.

While GPU folding, it seems like the program will go on for about 5 seconds, then turn off for another 5 seconds, repeating over and over. It started doing this after the first WU completed and seems like it slows down the process quite a bit.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Ah.......... the old AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH my cards nutz question.

If you look, it'll be running a 5904 or 5905 series work unit. This is how they work. The off on off cycle is it double checking its work.

Added benifit is it keeeps your card cooler.

Hmm, it is indeed folding a 5905 WU. Thanks for the clarification.

Its fine, the card will squeal.

Different work units will make the card heat up more, this is all normal.

I love those workunits.....makes the card run much cooler.
