New Mp3 (video) player - recommendations req.

Well, my apple iPod mini just completely and totally died -- no idea on what the problem is and I'm done troubleshooting it. Got it for free (won it) so no warranty.

Anyways: I'm trying to decide on a new video mp3 player for a reasonable price. I've narrowed it down to:

Not in any particular order, I'm heavily leaning towards the AV500, but if anyone has recommendations/experiences on any video player do let me know! (20GB+ space and at least a 3"+ screen)

I think the Sansa e260 is good, its about £130 (about $250). Theres different kinds with like 2gb, 4gb or 6gb of space, im not sure if you need more than that but the features are great. I saw some video reviews and they looked great.

Hmm interesting one, just checked it out on cnet and it seems quite useful. The 6gb of space is quite limiting considering I have over 10gb's worth of music on my computer right now, let alone videos.

If only it was...

It seems that creative is the way to go -- my dad has the older gen. zen and it's, in my opinion, better than the iPod equivalent. Now I just have to decide whether to grab the vision M or the larger one....

Normally I'd say to go with the Creative too, but I've heard the screen on the Zen Vision isn't very good. Poor viewing angles, etc. I seem to remember alot of people were dissapointed by it when it came out because of the screen. So you should try to check it out in person if you can.

I would be inclined to lean toward the Mustek because of the capacity, but the few reviews I did find were poor and the format support doesn't look that good. I'd cross that one off your list.

I'd go with the Archos. It has good features and reviews as well as no viewing-angle complaints. Support for lots of formats, etc.

But check out the reviews on CNET, both the Creative and the Archos have full reviews with video.

Thanks for the advice, Shannon. I've been using cnet for most of the reviews, and both the iPod and creative get great reviews -- I plan on going to bestbuy or some other store over the weekend to check them all out in person and see how they match up.
