I like your work. By zooming so close, you seem to be focussing on the textures of your subjects, and the light contrasts. This might make a more powerful statement in black and white. Remember that your background is part of the photograph- always keep that in mind, and design your shot accordingly. I used to be a photography major, for what it's worth.
