Hi,

I'm taking delivery of an AC wifi router this week, and would like to purchase an adapter that is compatible.

Those of you already using AC wifi adapters, please could you tell me what you're using and how reliable you find it?

I predominantly use my internet for online gaming. I'm not concerned about throughput with 802.11ac, so it's just reliability - ping, constant connection, etc. Please could you comment on your experience with your chosen AC adapter from this perspective?

Many thanks for your help and replies.

You'll probably get faster speeds unless you're using USB 3
EDIT: And higher power antennas.

Why? My experience of them has been poor...
Becuase they are smaller, generate more heat, some are limited by USB2 bus, and 99% of them lack antennas so they lack range. Cards don't have this issue.

Dude if you want consistency and less latency then go hard wire. There is nothing consistent about wireless reception no matter how good the router and card are. You always have that possibility to get hit by some sort of interference and get a lag spike.
