How do I turn dual monitors off in Vista?

I hooked my Laptop up to my TV so I could play some games, MY TV crops about an inch off the picture to a half inch depending on what it is.

I messed around with the graphics settings and now it finds 2 monitors rather than showing my desktop on the screen

how do I set it back to showing just what's on my laptop screen on the TV Screen?

Right click on the desktop, select Personalize. There select Display Settings. There click on the 2nd monitor and turn off the "Extend my desktop to this monitor" option. You could also just disconnect the cable running from your TV to the laptop as well.

that didn't work. There was an option to fix it but I don't remember where it was
