Yha know, google does wonders for answering theses questions.... so does the usrobotics support site.

Any piece of hardware within a PC needs drivers. No matter what it is. ALL hardware needs drivers to communicate with the OS. It just comes down to if the OS has them built in or not. If the OS does not then you need to install them.
