Hey guys, i just looked up my mainboard and it says that its a micro atx. Now my question for you is, will an micro atx mainboard fit in an ATX case? How do i find out what kind of case mine is now?

I have a micro atx and it fit's in my atx case fine,if you have a half decent case it will have different hole pattern's on the place where the mobo goe's to accept different size board's

micro atx has the same mounting holes as full sized atx, it's just shorter. it will fit into atx and micro atx cases

of course mATX will fit into your casing easily , rest lower space u can use to warm up snacks etc :)

lemme clear you out with the casing and motheboards in both ATX and mATX:

mATX mobo: 3 PCI + AGP (white slots)
mATX case: 1-2 Optical Drive bays

ATX Board: 5 PCI slots + AGP
ATX Case: ~4 External Drive bays

so if u r putting mATX mobo in ATX casing, then it means you'll be left with some space at lower reigon in casing as mATX boards are shorter in length and ATX casing has longer motherboard tray. so there you can put ur snacks while pc is running, to keep them warm :)
