Looking for a sound card, any ideas????

How I have these speakers: Newegg.com - ALTEC LANSING VS4221 35 Watts 2.1 Speaker - Retail

and is looking for a sound card that will work well with them. I do lite gaming and listen to lots of music thanks. Price doesn't matter but don't go overboard. Thanks

Comp USA has the Fataility version of b1's link for $100. Better? Probably not. I always hear you just pay for the Fatality name. But hey, its good none the less.

I would save the money and get an Xtreme audio, i mean ok its the entry level x-fi with hardly any features but it made my logitech x530's(5.1) come alive, the sub is literally twice as punchy, its superb, there is a fair bit of sound tweaking can be done aswell on the creative control panel.
Id only go for the xtreme gamer if you have money to burn, all it will give you is EAX5.0 Dolby digital, DTS blah blah which with the speakers you have is pointless because you wont be utilizing the cards full potential.
Also the only difference between the xtreme gamer and the Fatality is the onboard 64mb XRAM.

With the speakers you have you would be over the moon with the cheaper Xtreme audio, but beware if you have vista as i think theres a few issues with the control panel not working, the other x-fi cards use different software so i think there ok.
