I'm running the Ubuntu distro and trying to install CS via Wine. I got Wine up and running, and I tried to launch the steam setup.exe file. I get through the menus and go to the final installation, and it goes to 26%. Sometimes it freezes, other times it'll disappear and NOTHING else happens. In both situations, it does not go beyond 26%.

And found 2 solutions toward the bottom under troubleshooting to fix that. Both don't change anything. I also noticed that when I did a search at the WineHQ site, I couldn't find counterstrike to be compatible with wine... I could only find CS Source to be precise. But I want CS 1.6...
Can anybody help me? I've heard a lot of people say they've used CS on Wine but I always forget to ask if it's 1.6 or Source...
Also has anybody has GTA San Andreas working on Wine?
