java updates! question

need suggestion to anyone..
i recently updated my java runtime environment because it prompt me once i run the PC. the quetion is do i need to uninstall the old java environment or it is nesessary one to uninstall it? if i uninstall it do my PC speed rise?

Means you can uninstall, but you don't have to do so. So, there is no real need to do it.

I wasn't talking about Real Player. I don't even have it on my computer... it's worse than QuickTime, trying to take over everything.

thanks ive done it on my PC uninstall old version of java and my unit boost up a bit thanks...
