Budget? I would love to have the ASUS Sabertooth, but it costs $220.

Do you need RAID? Do you need dual PCI-E x16? How many SATA ports? 5 or 7 channel sound? Do you want USB3 or eSATA? If you need onboard video, do you want VGA/DVI/HDMI?

There's more into choosing a board than just parts that work.
