Well, today I found out I can install the F@H client on the lab computers I work with every day, and will be installing on all of them through out the next few weeks.

Awesome news: It will all be for team number 12864 (Tech-Forums!) under my user name.

Bad news is, b1gapl I think that would knock you down to position two

I wanted to spend a good $1000 to get a dedicated folding computer, crapy everything except for a good OC'ing mobo and a Q6600 running SMP client, but then thought of how I could do this on a larger scale.. Quad SLI? Nah, how about installing the client on every computer I can possibly find? YES!

Anyways, the point of this thread is to get you guys to go to your high schools or collages and talk to the media center admins. Present the F@H idea to them, let them know it only uses idle processor time, let them know everything that's good about it and how nothing is bad about it. I'm sure they will agree! Do something for the good of mankind, change the world!

I think F@H is a wonderful thing, and I think everyone should participate as it's at no disadvantage to us and it could change the world.

Folders everywhere, give yourself a pat on the back!

I was actually thinking of using a different user for all the computers...

And there definetly is no I in team.. ESPECIALLY for a team that's curing cancer XD

It would be a good idea, to put them under their own name, to give them credit. But it's your choice.

just make the user name the computers ID on the network. i'm guessing they're all P4s ? if they are, be careful because they might not be too happy if they overheat and throttle.

Good work!!! I do hope that you cleared that with your boss, so it doesn't get you into trouble.... We would hate to see you get canned just for trying to boost the team stats. But it is a worthy cause none-the-less.

I may have to rename the folding app to FreePorn.exe and offer it up for download in order to beat stats like you're going to be getting.
