Hi, I do not seem to be having any trouble with my computer since using spy-sweeper, but i would greatly appreciate it if someone could check my log just to make sure i am in fact clean.

Your log is clean.

Though just a personal side note. I find that Avast is a resource hog, and not the best anti-virus out there. I would recommend downloading AVG's free edition from Grisoft.com. It does'nt use up as much resources and is in my opinion a better anti-virus. I have found on serveral of my customer's computers, that when they are running Avast, certain downloader trojans will still slip thru. Anyways just a recommendation...

Your log is NOT clean.

Please update your version of hijackthis!!

Before attacking an adware/spyware problem with hijackthis make sure you have already run ad-aware SE with VX2 add-on cleaner, Spybot Search & Destroy (with updated database) and CWShredder as these programs will clean a lot of the crap out first. All links to programs are in my signature. Ok..on to the logÂ…..

If you have a highspeed connection please Run an online virus scan from TrendMicro Please select the “autoclean” option when prompted to do so.

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also. Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore.

Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up). Make sure to close any open browsers. Go into HijackThis->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click Kill process for each one if they are still listed (they shouldn't be but make sure)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshdss.exe

Check and fix the following in HijackThis if they still exist (make sure you do not miss an entry)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [msict] C:\WINDOWS\system32\msict.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe

C:\WINDOWS\system32\msict.exe <--delete that file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshdss.exe <--delete that file

In safe mode navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.

Navigate to the C:\Windows\Prefetch folder and delete all files in that folder

Once done reboot into Normal Mode and post a new HijackThis log file to confirm what was removed and if it's clean or not. Once your clean you can enable system restore again.

Okay i did everything you said, and it looks like the stuff is gone. But i HAVE deleted msict.exe with killbox before and it has come back. But maybe thats just because i wasnt getting the other file? So now i got both and here is the log.
