Help setting up a quick temporary bridge

I have broadband wireless networking allowing me to connect to the net thruought the city. I would like to be able to hook up my laptop to my friends PC (using a cross-over LAN cable) and then set my laptop up as a bridge so her computer can access the web thru mine ... should be great for downloading large files to her PC ------ anyone have any way to do this fast and easy using XP

Are you using some sort of a "hot spot " since you mentioned ....from the city. ...or are you using a wireless router ?

What OS do you have on your notebook and your friends pc ?

with a crossover cable you can use ICS. The only downside is that you will have to leave your notebook on.
