Firefox problem

Ok i have it set so when i click a link it should open a new tab in that window

but when i click the link it opens a whole new firefox window...

what am i doing wrong?

i think you have to manually open a new window (ctrl+t), then when youy click a link it opens in that new tab!

Right-click and choose 'Open in new tab'

Also, get the Tabbrowser Preferences extension.

As a default, using the middle mouse button (clicking the scroll wheel) will open up a link in a new tab.

And if you don't have a middle mouse button or scroll wheel, on some systems you can have it so that pressing both button at the same time emulates a middle click. That's what I've got setup, but I'm not sure how you would do it in Windows. (if by chance you happen to be using Linux, look in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file for that option, which'll probably be commented)
