I am finally building a computer but I need some advice on the parts. I'm not too knowledgeable about computer parts so I'm here to ask the experts! I have a little list going on here but I'm sure there can be improvements made,(especially the motherboard) and I hope you guys can recommend me some stuff to make a beast of a computer!
So far I have:
Case - Newegg.com - RAIDMAX SMILODON Extreme Black ATX-612WEB 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case - Computer Cases
Graphics Card - Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100283-2L Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
Processor - Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
Power Supply - Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies
RAM - Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TW3X4G1600C9DHX - Desktop Memory
Hard Drive - Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
MOBO - Newegg.com - ASUS M4A77TD AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
DVD DRIVE - Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 18X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model iHDS118-04 - CD / DVD Drives
My budget would be around 600-800. I'm looking for the computer to last for 3-4 years at least !
Couple questions that I have:
1. Do I need to worry about any compatibility issues?
2. Would I need an extra fan/coolant? Or would I be set with the stock fans. I hear the gpu/cpu could get hot sometimes and I don't want it blowing up or anything
Any comments/recommendations will be appreciated!
