External HDD to 360

Ok so I bought a simpletech 160gb blueberry USB powered Hard drive. I bought it to keep movies on so i could take it places with me. Now I wanted to run it off of my 360 but it wont work. It wont even come up on there. So after some research I have found that I have to get it to FAT32 but I cant its on NFTS?(maybe). Is there any way that I can get the drive to FAT32 and would that effect my storage capacity. Also I have tried to format it and there arent any options to format it in the format function.

I know I probably sound like an idiot but im not great with computers. Any help would be appreciated.

plug it to your computer, right click on the drive while in the "my computer" folder, go to format, should have an option there to select FAT32 or NTFS.

Just so you know (in case you don't) when you format you will lose all data on it.
