I am a new member so please excuse me if I violate proper procedure or protocol.... however, I do have a question that I hope someone can help me with. First some background:
Windows XP user and DSL. I have never subscribed to EarthLink, I do have an AOL account.
Problem: when I try to use certain features of various applications, I get a dialog box that says "there aren't any profiles created. Please use EarthLink 5.0 to create a new profile before using this program."
I get this message when attempting to use the radio tuner on Windows Media and I also get it when I attempt to use Goodle Earth and selct the Keyhole Community BBS.
I don't want to subscribe to Earthlink, but I would like the message to go away and be allowed to use the features that are causing this message to appear.
My guess is that the feature I am selecting has been told to look for an EarthLink profile..... I do not have an EarthLink profile.
Can anyone tell me how I can overcome the problem? Thanks!
