Do you have a preference when it comes to onsite or remote implementation?

Really it comes down to a couple different considerations for most (I would think),
  • Technical Expertise - if internal staff plays a large role in guiding implementation, then onsite is less likely
  • Online Orientation - companies primarily on the cloud or e-commerce based
  • Local Orientation - if the company's market is local, they'll more likely want onsite
  • Project Size - the more complex, the more likely you'd want onsite

I'm going to assume that we're all not business owners here, but if you work in a tech related field I'm sure you have some sway when this type of decision occurs in your office. After reading this remote implementation buyer's guide, I've determined it can turn into a cost vs convenience factor, and a couple key technological advances over the last decade and a half have introduced it as a viable choice: an increase in cheap, accessible Internet bandwidth and easy-to-use remote access tools. But the needs I mentioned above are a genuine reason to think about all the options available.
