curious net work error.

Does anyone know what this might indicate?

My friend recieves it when trying to download Adobe Acrobat Reader on his Imac.

A network error occured while Netscape was receiving data. Network error, socket is not connected

any hints?

Don't use Netscape. Use InternetExplorer or Safari. Or try updating Netscape.

I have a feeling he can't use Firefox. I have a hunch this is in a Classic OS, like 9.

He has OS X ver. 10.3.9.
I'll tell him to try IE, and failing that to try Mozilla or Firefox.

IE for Mac sucks. It was on its way to getting better, IMHO, when it got killed in 2003 by M$. So I suggest Camino or Firefox instead.

tell him to get firefox or mozilla and if that fails then IE

but if firefox fails, i will sacrafice my first born.
